This is an oversized 200mm amber globe bulb built for looks as much as light, with a 2.8W LED behind the glass. Inside the glass sits an etched acrylic sleeve that spreads the light and cuts glare, so it is comfortable to look at head on. It gives 120 lumens of warm white light at 1800K, a soft, low light that is more for mood than for reading by. At 1800K the light is deep and warm, more amber than white, for a candle-like feel.

A big globe like this is made to be seen, so it works best in open pendants, table bases and bare-flex fittings where the glass is on show. The soft, low-glare output suits living rooms, bedrooms and bars, adding warmth and a low, cosy light rather than a bright working one.
