Description
The Steel is a slim linear bar that hangs as a single straight line above a table or worktop. Its body is an extruded aluminium profile in black, 1192mm long and only 21mm deep, with the LED running the length of it. This is a bi-emission fitting, so light leaves both faces at once: a tighter 44 degree beam falls to the surface below for working light, while a wider 104 degree wash rises onto the ceiling and lifts the whole bar off the room rather than leaving a dark strip above it. Off, it reads as a plain painted bar suspended on fine cables.
This version runs a neutral 4000K, so the light below is crisp and clear rather than warm, which picks out tools, food and finishes cleanly on a worktop or island. The downward optic is the accent trim, so the pool it lays stays contained rather than spread wide, while the upward component softens the ceiling. It hangs on cables adjustable to around 2095mm and, at 1192mm, suits a table for four to six or a run of counter worked singly or in a line.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium in black and the light is a built-in LED drawing 38W for 5150 lumens at 4000K, with a colour rendering index above 90 and a 50,000 hour life, so tones stay true and no bulb is ever bought or replaced. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, it arrives ready to wire in on its adjustable suspension.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Steel give?
Neutral 4000K light thrown from both faces at once. A tight 44 degree beam falls to the surface below for a clear working light, while a broad 104 degree wash rises onto the ceiling. A colour rendering index above 90 keeps tones accurate, which suits a kitchen or workspace.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A built-in LED drawing 38W for 5150 lumens runs the length of the bar and is included, so there is nothing separate to fit. The module is rated for around 50,000 hours of normal use.
Can it be dimmed?
The driver is not listed as dimmable, so we would treat it as a fixed 4000K output unless a compatible switch is confirmed. We can check before you order.
Where does it suit best?
At 1192mm on a drop adjustable to about 2095mm, the crisp 4000K output and upward wash suit a kitchen island, a long worktop or a desk run where a clear neutral light and an evenly lit ceiling are both wanted.
