Description
The Steel is a slim linear bar that hangs as a single straight line above a table or worktop. Its body is an extruded aluminium profile in white, 1192mm long and only 21mm deep, with the LED running the length of it. This is a bi-emission fitting, so light leaves both faces at once: a tighter 44 degree beam falls to the surface below for working light, while a wider 104 degree wash rises onto the ceiling and lifts the whole bar off the room rather than leaving a dark strip above it. Off, it reads as a plain painted bar suspended on fine cables.
The downward optic is the accent trim, so the pool it lays on the table stays contained rather than spread wide, while the upward component softens the ceiling and evens out the room. It hangs on cables adjustable to around 2095mm, dropping low over a dining table or island or sitting higher across a kitchen. At 1192mm it suits a table for four to six or a run of counter, and several can be lined up above a longer surface. In white it disappears against a pale ceiling until switched on.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium in white and the light is a built-in LED drawing 38W for 4800 lumens at 3000K warm white, with a colour rendering index above 90 and a 50,000 hour life, so tones stay true and no bulb is ever bought or replaced. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, it arrives ready to wire in on its adjustable suspension.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Steel give?
Warm 3000K light thrown from both faces of the bar at once. A tight 44 degree beam falls to the surface below for working light, while a broad 104 degree wash rises onto the ceiling to lift the room. A colour rendering index above 90 keeps colours true underneath.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A built-in LED drawing 38W for 4800 lumens runs the length of the bar and is included, so there is nothing separate to fit. The module is rated for around 50,000 hours of normal use.
Can it be dimmed?
The driver is not listed as dimmable, so we would treat it as a fixed warm 3000K output unless a compatible switch is confirmed. We are happy to advise before you order.
Where does it suit best?
At 1192mm on a drop adjustable to about 2095mm, it hangs well over a dining table, a kitchen island or a desk, and the upward wash makes it a good choice where the ceiling should not go dark above the bar.
