Description
The Steel is a slim linear bar that hangs as one straight line above a table or worktop. Its body is an extruded aluminium profile in white, 1192mm long and only 21mm deep, with the LED set behind the underside. This is a mono-emission fitting, so all the light goes downward with no upward spill. The optic here is the accent trim at a tight 44 degree beam, so the light drops as a defined band directly below the bar rather than a broad wash. Off, it reads as a fine painted bar suspended on slim cables.
That narrow beam suits a run where the surface should be picked out cleanly rather than the whole room filled, so the pool of light on a table or island stays contained. The bar hangs on cables adjustable to around 2095mm, dropping low over a surface or sitting higher in a taller room. In white it sits quietly against a pale ceiling, and at 1192mm it works over a dining table for four to six, a kitchen island or a desk, singly or lined up over a longer counter.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium in white and the light is a built-in LED drawing 30W for 3600 lumens at 3000K warm white, with a colour rendering index above 90 and a 50,000 hour life, so tones stay true and no bulb is ever bought or replaced. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, it arrives ready to wire in.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Steel give?
A warm 3000K band aimed entirely downward. The 44 degree accent optic sends 3600 lumens in a defined strip rather than a wide spread, which picks out a table or island below it. There is no upward spill on this version, and a colour rendering index above 90 keeps colours true.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A built-in LED drawing 30W for 3600 lumens runs the length of the bar and is included, so there is nothing separate to fit. The module is rated for around a 50,000 hour life of normal use.
Can it be dimmed?
The driver is not listed as dimmable, so it holds a fixed warm 3000K output unless a compatible switch is confirmed. We are happy to advise before you order.
Where does it suit best?
At 1192mm and only 21mm deep, its tight downward beam suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a desk where a contained working light is wanted, and it reads well run singly or in a line over a longer surface.
