Description
The Orio is a 165cm tall asymmetrical wall mirror with an irregular triangular glass shape set within a matte black MDF frame. The organic, hand-drawn edge silhouette breaks away from rectangular and circular mirror conventions, offering a sculptural presence that reads as part artwork, part functional mirror.
Designed for modern entryways, above console tables, or as a lounge feature wall anchor, the Orio can be mounted in multiple orientations depending on the wall layout and surrounding furniture. The 85cm width provides full-length reflection for checking outfits or filling vertical wall space in narrow hallways without overwhelming the room. At 19kg, the mirror requires secure wall fixings into stud or masonry rather than plasterboard alone.
The matte black finish on the MDF frame absorbs rather than reflects light, creating a hard edge between the frame and the reflective glass. This contrast suits industrial, contemporary and monochrome interiors where strong geometric shapes anchor softer furnishings. The 3cm frame depth gives the mirror a solid profile when viewed from the side, distinguishing it from frameless designs.

Frequently Asked
What wall fixings are needed for 19kg?
The Orio weighs 19kg and requires heavy-duty mirror fixings anchored into wall studs, masonry or blockwork. Plasterboard alone will not support this weight safely. Use D-rings or keyhole plates on the rear paired with corresponding wall anchors rated to at least 25kg.
Can the mirror be hung in different orientations?
Yes. The asymmetrical shape allows the mirror to be rotated to suit different wall layouts. The narrower end can point upward for a vertical emphasis or to the side for a more dynamic diagonal composition.
How is the matte black frame cleaned?
The MDF frame has a matte painted finish. Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water only — avoid household sprays, polishes or solvents which may damage the matte surface. Clean the mirror glass separately with standard glass cleaner.
Is this suitable for bathrooms?
MDF is susceptible to moisture damage in high-humidity environments. The Orio is best suited to dry locations such as entryways, bedrooms and lounges rather than bathrooms without mechanical ventilation.
