Description
The Korvane is a single-light wall spotlight built around a 160mm cylindrical travertine shade in light beige, mounted on a circular walnut brown wood backplate. The travertine cylinder houses a single E27 lamp holder behind a recessed glass lens at the open end, and the head pivots on a black metal knuckle joint between the shade and the backplate so the beam can be aimed.
Designed for hallways, reading corners, bedside walls and gallery-style picture lighting, the Korvane works as directed accent rather than ambient light. The 65mm diameter shade keeps the projection from the wall compact, while the pivoting head means the same fitting can be aimed at a shelf, a piece of artwork or downward over a bedside table. The wood backplate fits standard wall installation behind a 65-70mm round mounting position.
Each travertine cylinder shows the natural pitting, mineral veining and tonal variation typical of unfilled travertine, so no two shades look identical. The cool, chalky beige of the stone sits against the warm, grain-flecked walnut backplate to give a deliberate two-material contrast rather than a single uniform finish. The black metal pivot is left exposed as a structural detail and visually separates the stone from the wood.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Korvane take?
The fitting takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A small E27 LED in a warm white 2700K-3000K colour temperature works well for accent lighting; check the bulb dimensions fit within the 65mm diameter, 160mm long travertine cylinder before purchase.
Can the head be angled?
Yes. The travertine cylinder pivots on a black metal knuckle joint where it meets the wood backplate, so the beam can be aimed at artwork, a shelf, or downward toward a reading position rather than being fixed in one direction.
Does the travertine vary between pieces?
Yes. Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone, so each shade shows different pitting, mineral flecks and tonal variation. The visible pores and surface irregularities are characteristic of unfilled travertine and are not defects.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
The Korvane has no stated IP rating in the specification, so it should be treated as an indoor dry-location fitting only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones or covered outdoor areas.
