Description
The Knightsbridge DC015 is a wireless doorbell kit comprising one IP55-rated battery-powered bell push and two 230V plug-in receivers. The bell push transmits a 433MHz signal to both receivers simultaneously when pressed, triggering one of 58 selectable ringtones at volumes adjustable up to 110dB. Each receiver also provides a visual LED flash alert when the doorbell sounds, making the system suitable for noisy environments or hearing-impaired users.
Designed for residential front doors, side gates and flats where running wired doorbell cable is impractical, the kit requires no mains wiring to the bell push. The push button mounts outdoors on any doorframe, gate post or wall using screws or the supplied double-sided sticker pads, and runs on a single 12V 23A battery (included). The two plug-in receivers fit standard UK 13A sockets and can be placed in different rooms or on different floors, allowing one bell push to alert occupants anywhere in the house.
The bell push carries an IP55 rating, protecting it against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, so it can be mounted in exposed outdoor locations including covered porches and open gate posts. The white plastic housing with grey button includes a door number sleeve on the front panel. The learning code feature pairs the bell push to the receivers on first use and prevents interference from neighbouring wireless devices operating on the same 433MHz frequency. Transmission range is approximately 150-200m in open air, reducing in built environments depending on wall construction and wireless interference.

Frequently Asked
What's the range in a typical house?
The quoted 150-200m range applies in open air with clear line of sight. In a residential setting with brick or block internal walls, expect 30-50m working range, which covers most two-storey houses. Thick stone walls, metal stud partitions and wireless interference reduce range further.
Can I add more receivers?
Yes. Additional Knightsbridge receivers operating on 433MHz can be paired to the same bell push using the learning code function. Check compatibility with Knightsbridge before purchasing additional units.
How long does the bell push battery last?
Battery life depends on usage frequency. In typical residential use (5-10 presses per day), the 12V 23A battery lasts 6-12 months. The bell push draws less than 10mW per press, so infrequent use extends battery life considerably.
Is the bell push weatherproof?
The IP55 rating means the bell push is protected against dust and water jets from any angle, making it suitable for covered porches, open gate posts and other exposed outdoor locations. It is not submersible and should not be mounted where it will sit in standing water.
