Description
The Eclipse is a wide single pendant built around a shallow domed glass diffuser rather than a hanging globe. A convex lens sits behind a grey sandblasted glass shade, so the light spreads out soft and even across the underside instead of showing as a bright point. The frame and ceiling cap are powder-painted black metal, and at 600mm across the glass reads as a broad grey disc, quiet and flat against the ceiling when it is off and a low sheet of light when it is on.
The sandblasted grey glass takes the edge off the source, giving a diffused wash that falls straight down over the surface below. At this width it is made to sit over a dining table, a kitchen island or a low lounge setting, where a single broad disc gives more spread than a small pendant and holds the centre of the room. Lit, it glows evenly across the whole face; unlit, it keeps its shape as a smoked grey lens on a slim black drop.
We supply it ready to use with the GX53 lamp included, wired on a PVC cable. The lamp that comes fitted is a warm 3000K, and because it is a standard GX53 socket rather than a sealed LED, the bulb can be swapped later. The drop adjusts from 320mm down to a long 2300mm, so it can hang low over a table or high in a room with tall ceilings. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, so we would have an electrician make the connection.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Eclipse give?
A soft, even downward wash. The grey sandblasted glass sits over a convex lens, so the source is spread across a wide 600mm face rather than shown as a bright point. It reads as a broad, diffused sheet of light rather than a directional beam.
Does it come with a bulb?
Yes. A GX53 lamp is included and comes fitted, so the pendant arrives ready to wire and light on its PVC cable. The supplied lamp is a warm 3000K.
Is it dimmable?
Dimming depends on the GX53 lamp fitted. Because it uses a standard replaceable GX53 socket rather than a sealed LED, it can be dimmed by fitting a dimmable GX53 lamp on a compatible dimmer. We can advise on suitable lamps.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The glass disc is 600mm across, with a drop adjustable from 320mm to 2300mm. At this width it suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a lounge, where a single broad pendant gives an even spread of light over the surface below.
