Description
The Calmora is a 120mm cube wall light cut from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster, with a single G9 lamp fitting concealed inside. There is no visible metalwork on the front face — the stone reads as one solid sculptural form, with mineral veining and tonal variation running across each side. When the G9 is lit, the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser, glowing from within and tracing the natural fault lines in the stone.
The compact 120mm footprint suits hallway runs, stairwells, bedside walls and bathroom zones away from direct water contact (no IP rating is stated, so check siting before installing in splash zones). The cube projects roughly its own depth from the wall, giving it presence without dominating tighter circulation spaces. Pairs are commonly fitted either side of a bed, mirror or doorway; a run of three or four can light a corridor without ceiling fixtures.
Because each cube is cut from natural stone rather than cast or moulded, no two pieces are identical. Some show fine surface fissures and warm honey-toned veins; others are cooler and more uniformly white. These are characteristics of the material, not flaws. The soft white finish keeps attention on the stone itself, and the deliberate cube geometry sits comfortably alongside minimal, Mediterranean and contemporary interiors where the texture of natural materials is doing the work.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Calmora take?
The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). G9 LED bulbs in 2700K-3000K warm white are the most common pairing for alabaster, as warmer tones bring out the honey veining in the stone. Keep wattage low — typically 3-4W LED is sufficient given how readily the alabaster transmits light.
Does each piece look the same?
No. Each Calmora is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, tonal warmth and translucency vary between pieces. Surface fissures and faint mineral lines are part of the stone, not defects, and become more visible when the light is switched on.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No IP rating is specified for the Calmora, so it should not be installed in bathroom zones where it may be exposed to direct water or steam. It is suitable for general interior walls, hallways, bedrooms and stairwells.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays and chemical cleaners, as these can mark or dull the surface of the stone over time.
