Description
The Caldera Small is a 470mm alabaster wall light built around a rectangular panel of natural Spanish alabaster, framed top and bottom by a brushed brass backplate and crossed vertically by a slim brushed brass band that appears to float across the face of the stone. An integrated 6W LED behind the alabaster casts warm 3000K soft white light through the panel, turning the stone itself into the diffuser.
At 470mm tall, 120mm wide and 100mm projection, the Caldera Small suits hallways, bedside positions either side of a headboard, and powder rooms where a vertical wash of ambient light is needed without bulky fittings. The compact footprint works in narrower wall spaces between doors, mirrors and joinery, and the 100mm projection keeps it within the depth of typical corridor circulation. Mounted at around 1.5-1.6m to centre, it sits comfortably as bedside reading light or general accent illumination.
The fitting combines solid copper internals with the natural alabaster panel, so each piece shows different mineral veining and tonal variation when lit. The brushed brass finish has a low-sheen warmth that pairs with both modern and transitional interiors, and the central floating band adds a graphic vertical line that breaks up the otherwise soft glow of the stone. The integrated LED removes the need to source bulbs and runs on standard 230V mains.

Frequently Asked
Does the Caldera come with a bulb?
Yes. The Caldera uses an integrated 6W LED rated at 3000K soft white, fitted within the alabaster panel. There are no separate bulbs to source or replace.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No IP rating is specified, so the Caldera is intended for dry interior locations such as hallways, bedrooms, living areas and powder rooms outside of bathroom zones. It should not be installed within bathroom zones where an IP-rated fitting is required.
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone and becomes most visible when the LED is switched on.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but do not soak the stone.
