Description
The Caldera Large is a 580mm tall wall light built around two natural Spanish alabaster panels set within a slim matt black solid copper frame. A horizontal black band crosses the centre of the fixture, splitting the alabaster into upper and lower sections and giving the sconce its split-core profile. An integrated 12W LED runs behind the stone at 3000K, lighting the alabaster from within rather than throwing direct light into the room.
At 120mm wide and projecting just 100mm from the wall, the Caldera suits hallways, stairwells and living rooms where a tall vertical light is wanted but space is limited. The slim projection keeps it clear of circulation routes, and the upright 580mm form pairs well with double-height walls, panelled feature walls and the spaces either side of a fireplace, mirror or doorway. Mounting is via a concealed wall plate behind the central band.
The alabaster is hand-cut from natural Spanish stone, so each panel shows different mineral veining and tonal variation when lit, and no two Caldera fixtures look identical once installed. The matt black copper frame is finished to a low sheen that sits quietly against both pale and dark wall colours. Combined with the warm 3000K colour temperature, the Caldera produces an ambient vertical wash rather than task-level brightness, layering well alongside downlights or floor lamps.

Frequently Asked
Does the Caldera need a separate bulb?
No. The Caldera uses an integrated 12W LED running at 3000K on 230V mains, so there is no separate lamp to fit or replace. The LED is built into the fixture behind the alabaster panels.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
An IP rating is not specified, so the Caldera should be treated as an indoor wall light for dry locations. It is not recommended for bathroom zones or external use without a confirmed IP rating.
Why does the alabaster look different in product photos?
Each alabaster panel is hand-cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, tone and translucency vary between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and the variation is most visible once the LED is lit.
How is it mounted to the wall?
The Caldera fixes via a concealed wall plate behind the central black band, with the 100mm projection allowing space for the driver and wiring connections. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician on a 230V mains circuit.
