Description
The Brecken is a 2-light pendant with a linear aged brass frame suspending two wide faux alabaster glass shades, each housing a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The shades measure 370mm across and are veined to mimic natural alabaster, diffusing light through the glass while the brass framework provides a warm metallic accent above.
Designed for installation over kitchen islands, rectangular dining tables and bar areas where horizontal coverage is needed, the Brecken's dual-shade layout spreads light across a 1.2-1.5m surface without creating a single harsh point source. The drop is adjustable from 524mm to 1439mm on installation, allowing the pendant to sit 700-900mm above a worktop or table depending on ceiling height. The aged brass finish shows natural tonal variation with darker patina in recesses, pairing with marble, timber and brushed metal finishes in both traditional and contemporary kitchens.
The faux alabaster glass is moulded rather than carved, giving consistent light diffusion between pieces while retaining the veined appearance of natural stone. Each shade holds up to 60W per bulb, meaning the fitting can deliver bright task lighting with halogen or incandescent, or softer ambient light with lower-wattage LED bulbs in the 6-10W range. The 370mm diameter makes the Brecken compact enough for galley kitchens while still providing visual presence in larger open-plan spaces.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Brecken take?
Each shade takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for task and ambient lighting over kitchen islands or dining tables.
What drop height suits a kitchen island?
The pendant is adjustable from 524mm to 1439mm total drop. For a kitchen island or dining table, the shades typically sit 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings may require the cable to be shortened during installation.
Is the alabaster real stone?
No. The shades are moulded faux alabaster glass with veining that mimics natural stone. This gives consistent light diffusion and durability compared to carved alabaster, while retaining the warm translucent appearance when lit.
What surface length does the 2-light layout cover?
The two shades spread light across approximately 1.2-1.5m of surface area, making the Brecken suitable for kitchen islands, bar counters and rectangular dining tables up to 1.8m long when centred above the surface.
