Description
The Aperta A1IPVDS is an IP PoE outdoor door station with an integrated HD camera, proximity card reader and numeric keypad for access control at single-dwelling residential and light commercial entrances. The unit runs on Power over Ethernet, requiring only a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable run to supply both power and network connectivity to the station.
Designed for surface mounting at front doors, gates and building entrances, the station provides three access methods: proximity card/fob, keypad PIN entry, or remote unlock via the connected IP intercom system. The HD camera captures visitor video during call attempts and proximity card reads, while the six infrared LEDs around the camera lens provide night vision in low-light and no-light conditions. The IP65 rating protects internal electronics from rain, dust and direct hose-down during cleaning.
The brushed aluminium faceplate measures 221mm high by 128mm wide with a 63mm projection from the mounting surface, giving a compact footprint that suits standard doorframe widths. The black touchscreen keypad sits behind toughened glass, and the built-in speaker and microphone grille beneath the keypad handle two-way audio communication with indoor stations on the same network. The proximity reader accepts 125kHz EM cards and key fobs, with card data stored and managed via the network interface.

Frequently Asked
What network equipment is needed to run the Aperta station?
The station requires a PoE-capable network switch or PoE injector to supply power and network connectivity via a single Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. It must connect to the same local network as the indoor intercom stations and any recording or management devices in the Aperta IP system.
What type of proximity cards does it accept?
The built-in reader accepts 125kHz EM (Electro-Magnetic) proximity cards and key fobs. Card data and user permissions are managed via the network interface, allowing administrators to add, remove or modify access credentials remotely without visiting the door station itself.
Can it be used outdoors in all weather?
Yes. The IP65 rating means the station is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed UK outdoor installations including rain, snow and hose-down cleaning. Mount the station under a porch or canopy where possible to reduce direct UV exposure on the faceplate over time.
Does the HD camera work at night?
Yes. Six infrared LEDs around the camera lens provide night vision, allowing the camera to capture visitor video in low-light and complete darkness. The infrared illumination is invisible to the human eye but clearly visible to the camera sensor.
