Description
The Alvara is a 120mm cube wall light cut from a single block of veined marble, with an integrated COB LED housed inside the stone. The marble body shows white and cream tones interrupted by deep black and grey veining, and each face of the cube reveals a different section of the natural pattern. Light projects from the open top and bottom of the cube and also passes through the thinner sections of stone, lighting the marble itself.
Designed as a sculptural accent rather than primary room lighting, the Alvara suits bedside positions, hallway runs, reading corners and layered living-room schemes where a softer secondary light source is needed. The compact 120mm footprint sits comfortably alongside a headboard or framed artwork without competing for attention. Mounted in pairs either side of a bed, or in a series along a corridor, the cubes establish a rhythmic line of warm light at shoulder height.
Each cube is cut from natural marble, so the veining direction, density and colour balance vary between individual pieces — the white-and-black pattern on one wall light will not match its sibling exactly. The solid stone construction gives the fitting weight and presence beyond what the small dimensions suggest, and the squared edges and flat faces hold a precise architectural geometry against the organic movement of the veining.

Frequently Asked
Does the Alvara come with a bulb?
The Alvara uses an integrated COB LED housed inside the cube, so no separate bulb is needed and none has to be replaced over the lamp's working life. See the Specification tab for the lamp socket detail.
Will the marble pattern match between two units?
No. Each cube is cut from natural veined marble, so the veining direction, contrast and grey-to-black balance differ between pieces. Buyers ordering pairs for either side of a bed should expect related but non-identical patterns.
Where is light emitted from the cube?
Light projects from the open top and bottom of the cube and also passes through the thinner translucent sections of the marble, so the stone itself glows. The effect is closer to ambient accent lighting than directed task light.
How is the marble cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on natural marble.
