What is 2-way switching and where is it used?

2-way switching allows a single light or group of lights to be controlled from two different wall positions. Common applications include stairwells (switches at top and bottom), long hallways (switches at each end), and bedrooms (door switch and bedside switch). Either switch can turn the lights on or off regardless of the other's position.

What back box depth is required?

The switch requires a minimum 16mm back box depth. The ultra-low profile plate adds just 2.5mm projection from the wall once fitted, making the total depth from the wall surface approximately 18-19mm including the rockers.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating makes this suitable for general indoor use but not for installation within bathroom zones 1 or 2 where higher ingress protection is required. It can be fitted outside these zones, such as on the wall outside the bathroom door.
