Alabaster Ceiling Lights with Integrated LED

Alabaster sits at the heart of our modern ceiling light range. The stone has a pale, slightly translucent surface that glows when an LED engine sits behind it, giving a warm, even spread of light rather than a hard point source. Most of our alabaster designs pair the shade with brushed brass or matt black metalwork, and many use a soft white body so the fitting sits quietly against a pale ceiling.

The shapes are simple and geometric. Round and square flush fittings keep the stone close to the ceiling, while semi-flush designs add wide domes, cylinders, cubes, globes and mini drops. There are also layered multi-light pieces that stack several alabaster shades on a single fitting for larger rooms. Glass, Crystal and Decorative Diffusers

Glass gives a modern ceiling light a different character. Most designs sit within a neutral colour family, so they settle alongside existing décor rather than fighting it.

Metal also allows forms that other materials cannot manage: slim tube flush lights, mesh flush designs, ribbon shapes that fold light around themselves, and chain veil semi-flush designs where fine strands hang in layers below the ceiling plate. LED Technology: Dimming, Colour Temperature and Control

Many of our modern ceiling lights use an integrated LED engine rather than a separate bulb. If you prefer replaceable lamps, a good number of designs take G9 capsule bulbs instead, so you can swap a lamp yourself without replacing the fitting.

Warm white is the most common colour temperature in the range and suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. For more flexibility, look for CCT switchable designs, which let you move between settings such as 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 6500K cool daylight on the same fitting. Plenty of models are dimmable, and some include a remote control that handles brightness and colour temperature from the sofa.

Within the dry rooms of the house, the choice mostly comes down to size, finish and how much control you want over the light.
