Zephyra 16W LED Square Recessed Ground Light - 3000K, Silver, IP67

The Zephyra is a 250mm square recessed ground light built around an integrated 16W LED emitting 3000K warm white light through a frosted polycarbonate diffuser. The steel body in a silver brushed finish sits flush with the ground surface, secured by two visible fixings on the faceplate, and is rated IP67 for protection against water ingress and dust.

Designed for driveways, pathways, patios and garden borders where flush-mounted ground lighting is needed without creating a trip hazard, the Zephyra provides even diffused light across a 1.5-2m radius depending on mounting depth and surrounding surface reflectance. The non-orientable design means the light spreads uniformly in all directions rather than being directed, making it suitable for marking path edges, illuminating steps, or providing low-level ambient wash light along building facades.

The steel housing withstands vehicle traffic up to 2,000kg static load when installed correctly into a suitable concrete or paving substrate, making it appropriate for residential driveways and pedestrian zones. The IP67 rating allows the fitting to withstand temporary immersion up to 1m depth, so it handles heavy rain, pooling water and pressure washing without internal damage. The 400mm cable tail connects to external-rated junction boxes buried alongside the fitting.

The integrated LED runs at 16W on 230V mains with a 3000K colour temperature that gives a warm white output comparable to halogen. The frosted diffuser softens the LED point source into an even glow without harsh shadows or visible LED chips. The silver brushed finish on the steel faceplate reflects less light than polished finishes, reducing glare when viewed from above while still providing corrosion resistance in coastal and high-moisture environments.

What load can the Zephyra support?

When installed correctly into concrete or a reinforced paving base, the Zephyra supports static loads up to 2,000kg. This makes it suitable for residential driveways and pedestrian zones, but not for commercial vehicle access or heavy goods vehicle routes.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated 16W LED driver is not dimmable. The light runs at full output when powered.

How deep does it need to be recessed?

The 235mm projection depth refers to the recessed housing that sits below the ground surface. A recess depth of at least 250mm is recommended to allow for cable routing and sufficient clearance beneath the fitting. The steel faceplate sits flush with the finished paving or concrete surface.

What does IP67 mean for outdoor use?

IP67 means the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1m depth for up to 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for use in areas exposed to heavy rain, pooling water, and pressure washing, but it is not designed for permanent underwater installation such as pond lighting.
