Description

The Vexa is a 12cm cube wall light built around a diamond lattice of smoked K9 crystal facets, mounted on a square polished chrome backplate. A single G9 bulb (sold separately, up to 33W) sits behind the crystal lattice, casting light through the faceted glass to create shadow patterns on surrounding walls.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls flanking headboards, and living room alcoves, the Vexa works as a single accent piece or in symmetrical pairs. The 12cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting low-profile while the crystal lattice adds depth and catches ambient light during the day. The smoked tint on the crystal softens the sparkle compared to clear crystal, giving a darker, more subdued effect that suits contemporary and transitional interiors.

Each crystal piece in the lattice is cut at angles to refract light in multiple directions, so switching the fitting on reveals geometric light patterns on adjacent surfaces. The polished chrome backplate reflects light back into the room and pairs cleanly with chrome taps, door handles and other metallic accents. At 0.6kg the fitting mounts directly to a standard UK wall with two fixings through the backplate.

What bulb does the Vexa take?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 in 2700K or 3000K for ambient wall lighting. Dimmable G9 LEDs are available but require a compatible LED dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool. Wipe the crystal facets with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the fitting or using chemical sprays near the electrical components.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

The Vexa carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or areas exposed to moisture.

What's the difference between smoked and clear crystal?

Smoked crystal has a darker, grey-tinted glass that reduces the intensity of the sparkle and gives a more subdued, contemporary effect. Clear crystal maximises light refraction and creates brighter, more pronounced sparkle.
