Description

The Vexa is a 12cm square wall light built around a grid of precision-cut K9 crystal squares mounted on a polished chrome backplate. A single G9 bulb fitting (max 33W, bulb sold separately) sits behind the crystal grid, casting light through the faceted surfaces to create prismatic refraction across surrounding walls.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and living rooms where wall space is limited, the Vexa's 12cm projection keeps the fitting flush to the wall without intruding into narrow passages. The compact 12cm x 12cm faceplate suits alcoves, chimney breasts and feature walls where a larger wall light would overwhelm the space. The chrome backplate contrasts sharply with the clear crystal, giving the fitting definition even when the bulb is off.

Each K9 crystal square is facet-cut to catch and split both natural daylight and artificial light sources, so the fitting adds visual interest throughout the day without needing to be switched on. The 0.60kg weight allows the fitting to be mounted on plasterboard walls using appropriate fixings, not just solid masonry. The G9 lampholder accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs, giving flexibility to choose warm white (2700K-3000K) or cool white (4000K+) depending on the room's colour palette.

What bulb does the Vexa take?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting, or cool white (4000K) for bathrooms and utility areas.

Can it be fitted on plasterboard walls?

Yes. The 0.60kg weight allows the Vexa to be fitted on plasterboard using appropriate cavity fixings rated for at least 2kg load. For solid masonry, standard screws and wall plugs are sufficient.

How much light does it provide?

The Vexa is designed as accent lighting rather than primary room lighting. A 5W G9 LED produces approximately 400-500 lumens, sufficient to light a 2-3m section of hallway or provide bedside ambient light. For task lighting or primary room illumination, pair it with ceiling lights.

Does the crystal need cleaning?

K9 crystal attracts dust over time. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth every few months. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome backplate or allowing water into the lampholder.
