Description
The Verdale is a 16cm cube wall light combining a gold wireframe cage inside a clear glass cylinder, creating a layered geometric structure on a gold wall plate. A single G9 bulb sits inside the wire cage (sold separately, maximum 33W), casting light outward through both the wire grid and the glass surround. The gold finish provides warm metallic accents without the high reflectivity of polished brass.
Designed for corridors, stairwells, bedside positions flanking a headboard, or either side of a bathroom mirror, the Verdale provides directional ambient light with a 15cm projection from the wall. The compact 16cm footprint suits walls with limited horizontal space, and the layered construction adds visual depth without requiring a large wall area. The wire cage softens the light output, reducing glare while maintaining brightness for navigation and task use.
The clear glass cylinder sits proud of the gold backplate, creating a shadow line when lit. The wireframe inside follows a geometric lattice pattern that diffuses light evenly across all directions rather than directing it solely upward or downward. At 0.65kg the fitting mounts securely to standard UK stud or masonry fixings, and the gold tone pairs comfortably with warm timber, neutral stone and muted textile interiors.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Verdale takes a single G9 bulb up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white G9 LED between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient corridor or bedside lighting.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
The Verdale carries no IP rating, so it is suitable for general bathroom use outside shower enclosures and direct spray zones. It can be mounted beside mirrors or above vanity units where it will not be exposed to water jets.
How far does it project from the wall?
The fitting projects 15cm from the wall once installed, measured from the wall surface to the front of the glass cylinder. This suits corridors and stairwells where the projection does not obstruct passage width.
Can it be installed as a single unit or does it need to be paired?
The Verdale works as a single unit for corridor or stairwell use, or can be installed in pairs flanking a headboard, mirror or doorway for symmetrical lighting. It is sold as a single fitting.
