Description

The Umbra is a 2-light crystal wall light built on a polished chrome frame that extends upward in a V-formation, with two candle-style arms curving out from a central column. Faceted crystal elements line the vertical spine and wrap around each arm, refracting light from the two SES bulbs (sold separately) and from any ambient light in the room. The chrome frame provides structural support and a high-gloss reflective surface that contrasts with the transparent crystal.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, and staircases where vertical wall space allows for decorative lighting without floor or table placement, the Umbra provides ambient rather than task lighting. The 14cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of door swings and foot traffic in corridors, while the 42cm height and 28cm width give enough presence to flank mirrors, be placed either side of a bed headboard, or mark doorways in hallways. The fitting mounts to a standard UK wall box and the chrome backplate covers the fixing points.

The crystal detailing follows the curve of each arm and runs the length of the central column, creating continuous sparkle when the bulbs are lit and passive reflection when they are off. The V-shaped arm formation positions the two bulbs at different heights, distributing light across a wider vertical spread than a horizontal twin-arm arrangement would. At 1.85kg the fitting has enough weight to feel substantial when handled but does not require reinforced wall fixing beyond a standard wall box secured to masonry or stud.
