Description

The Tiara is a 22cm-wide LED wall light built from a chrome-plated metal frame and faceted glass prisms that cascade in two tiers, forming a semi-cylindrical profile. An integrated 10W G9 LED sits behind the glass, casting 550 lumens of 3000K warm white light through the prism facets, which refract the light into soft patterns across adjacent walls and ceilings.

Designed for hallways, living room accent walls, and bedroom side-of-bed positions, the Tiara provides ambient and decorative light rather than task illumination. The 31cm height and 11cm projection from the wall make it suitable for spaces with limited clearance where a traditional sconce would protrude too far. The chrome finish reflects daylight during the day, giving the fitting a mirror-like presence even when switched off.

The glass prisms are hand-cut and arranged in two overlapping tiers, with the top tier featuring pointed arch-shaped facets and the lower tier forming straighter vertical panels. This layered construction gives depth to the fitting and creates a three-dimensional sculptural effect that changes appearance depending on viewing angle. The chrome ABS base plate mounts directly to a standard UK wall box, and the 1.3kg weight requires secure fixing into solid masonry or a timber stud.

Is the LED replaceable?

The Tiara uses an integrated G9 LED module rated at 10W and 3000K. G9 LEDs are replaceable, though the fitting requires disconnection from mains power and partial disassembly to access the lamp holder. Consult a qualified electrician if the LED fails outside warranty.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Tiara is not protected against moisture ingress. It should only be installed in dry indoor areas, not in bathrooms, wet rooms, or zones where steam or splashing occurs.

How is the glass cleaned?

The faceted glass prisms attract dust in the crevices between facets. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth when the power is switched off and the fitting has cooled. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid household glass cleaners containing ammonia or bleach as they can tarnish the chrome.

Does it work with dimmer switches?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model. Most trailing-edge LED dimmers will work with the integrated 10W G9 module, but leading-edge dimmers may cause flickering or reduced lifespan. Test before permanent installation or contact Schuller for a confirmed dimmer compatibility list.
