Description
The Stellis is a 2-light Czech crystal wall light built on a chrome backplate with two symmetrical scroll arms, each holding a single SES (E14) candle bulb sleeve. Hand-cut Czech crystal droplets hang from the arms and a central faceted ball pendant hangs from the backplate centre, refracting light when the bulbs are lit and catching ambient light during the day.
Designed for formal hallways, either side of mirrors, or flanking fireplaces in dining rooms and sitting rooms, the Stellis adds decorative accent lighting to traditional and transitional interiors. The 18cm projection from the wall and 24cm height fit comfortably in spaces where a full chandelier would be too dominant but a simple sconce would lack presence. The chrome finish on the backplate and arms provides a neutral reflective base that works with both warm brass tones and cooler nickel hardware elsewhere in the room.
Each crystal component is individually cut and polished in the Czech Republic using traditional glassworking methods, giving the droplets sharper facets and clearer refraction than moulded glass alternatives. The scroll arms curve outward in a classical proportioned arc, holding the candle sleeves at a slight upward angle. At 4kg the fitting requires secure wall fixings into solid material or a plasterboard anchor rated for the load, and the backplate hides the cable entry point once wired.
The Stellis works well as a pair on either side of architectural features or spaced evenly along a hallway run, creating repeated points of reflected light. The 60W maximum per bulb allows for flexibility in choosing warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W or vintage-style filament bulbs for a softer glow.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Stellis take?
The fitting takes two SES (E14 small Edison screw) candle bulbs, sold separately. Maximum wattage is 60W per bulb. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W for decorative ambient light, or vintage-style filament bulbs at 25-40W for a softer glow.
How is it fitted to the wall?
The chrome backplate mounts to the wall via two fixing points, concealing the cable entry. At 4kg the fitting requires secure fixings into solid masonry, timber studs, or plasterboard anchors rated for at least 5kg. The backplate should be wired by a qualified electrician to UK wiring regulations.
Can it be used in pairs?
Yes. The Stellis is commonly used in pairs flanking mirrors, fireplaces, or doorways, or spaced evenly along hallways to create repeated decorative accent points. The symmetrical design works well when mirrored.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow bulbs to cool completely. Wipe crystal droplets gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the crystals or allowing water to run into the metal fittings. Do not use chemical sprays or glass cleaners on the crystal.
