Description

The Stelis is a 2-light wall light cast in clear Czech lead crystal with fluted trumpet-shaped shades on symmetrical curved arms. Each arm extends from a central crystal backplate and terminates in a fluted glass cup housing a single SES (E14) candle bulb. The clear crystal construction gives the fitting a substantial 5kg weight despite the visual lightness of the transparent material.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and dining rooms where wall lighting needs to provide ambient glow without dominating the sightline, the Stelis measures 50cm wide by 43cm tall with a 26cm projection from the wall. The symmetrical twin-arm format works well in pairs flanking a mirror, a fireplace, or either side of a bed headboard. The clear crystal reflects and refracts light when the bulbs are on, then recedes visually when the light is off, making it suitable for rooms where the wall fitting should not compete with artwork or other decorative elements.

The lead crystal is cut and polished in the Czech Republic using traditional glassworking techniques, giving each shade a weight and clarity that separates it from pressed glass or acrylic alternatives. The fluted detailing on the trumpet shades catches and disperses light in multiple directions, turning the two bulbs into a broader wash of ambient illumination. What bulbs does the Stelis take?

The fitting takes two SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow that complements the crystal.

Is the crystal genuine lead crystal or pressed glass?

The Stelis uses genuine Czech lead crystal, cut and polished using traditional glassworking methods. This gives the fitting greater weight, clarity and light refraction than pressed glass or acrylic alternatives.

What wall clearance is needed?

The fitting projects 26cm from the wall when installed. Allow at least 30-35cm of clear space in front of the wall to avoid the shades being knocked when passing.

Can the Stelis be installed in a bathroom?

The fitting carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It should not be installed in bathrooms or other locations where it may be exposed to moisture or splashing.
