Sorrelle 2 Light Crystal Wall Light - Gold

The Sorrelle is a 2 light wall light built around a square gold-finish backplate with symmetrical arms extending left and right, each supporting a fluted optical glass disc, a G9 bulb socket and a faceted crystal drop beneath. The crystal drops hang on short brass-coloured posts, introducing vertical accent against the horizontal frame.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls flanking a headboard, or dining room positions where a compact decorative wall light is needed without the depth of a sconce, the Sorrelle projects 17cm from the wall and sits 27cm wide across both arms. The 15cm overall height suits standard 2.4m ceiling rooms without overwhelming the vertical proportion. The fitting accepts two G9 bulbs up to 33W each (sold separately), providing accent lighting rather than primary room illumination.

The gold finish is a warmer tone than polished brass, sitting closer to antique brass but without oxidation or patina. The optical glass discs refract light from the bulbs into the crystal drops below, which then scatter reflections onto adjacent wall surfaces. The faceted crystal cut catches ambient light during the day when the wall light is off, maintaining visual presence as a decorative object. What bulb does it take?

The Sorrelle takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2.5-4W and 2700K-3000K for accent lighting.

Is the wall light dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. Dimmable G9 LED bulbs exist, but must be paired with a compatible LED dimmer. Check the bulb packaging or contact us before pairing with a dimmer switch.

How is the fitting mounted?

The square backplate fixes to the wall with screws through mounting holes behind the plate. The electrical cable feeds through a central aperture in the backplate. A qualified electrician is required for installation to UK wiring regulations.

Can the crystal drops be removed for cleaning?

The crystal drops are typically suspended on metal posts that unscrew or lift off the frame, allowing individual pieces to be removed for cleaning. Wipe crystal with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid chemical cleaners or abrasive materials.
