Sona 1 Light Crystal Wall Light - Chrome

The Sona is a single-bulb crystal wall light built around a 13cm cube structure with a polished chrome square backplate and a double-layer glass shade. Designed for hallways, bathroom mirrors, bedside walls and landings where a compact fitting is needed, the 14.5cm projection from the wall keeps the light close to the surface without intruding into narrow corridors. The single G9 bulb (sold separately, maximum 33W) provides directed light suitable for task illumination or accent lighting rather than primary room lighting. The polished chrome backplate reflects light back towards the wall, adding wash light behind the fitting itself.

The cube proportions and mirrored chrome finish suit both contemporary and transitional interiors where geometric forms and reflective metal are already present. Can it be used in bathrooms?

How is the crystal element accessed for cleaning?

The outer glass cylinder and inner crystal diffuser are likely secured by the chrome backplate assembly. Switch off power at the fuse board, allow the bulb to cool, then remove the outer glass cylinder to access the crystal core. Wipe both glass and crystal gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately.

Does it work as a reading light?

The Sona provides directed light suitable for close tasks when mounted at reading height (typically 1.4-1.6m from the floor next to a bed). However, the faceted crystal diffuses the light in multiple directions, so it is less focused than an adjustable reading lamp. It works well as ambient bedside lighting paired with a separate adjustable task light.
