Description
The Selia is an 87cm island chandelier built around a polished chrome linear frame with six E14 bulb positions, each surrounded by cascading tiers of laser-cut crystal prisms. The crystal elements hang in multiple layers around each light source, creating depth and refraction when the bulbs are lit. The chrome bar runs 87cm in length and suspends on adjustable cables from a matching chrome ceiling mount.
Designed for positioning above dining tables and kitchen islands, the Selia works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, where the 34cm drop of the crystal tiers can be appreciated without encroaching on headroom. The 87cm length suits tables of 160-200cm or kitchen islands of similar dimensions, providing light distribution across the surface rather than from a single central point. The six bulbs accept any standard E14 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 40W each (sold separately).
The laser-cut crystal prisms are precision-machined rather than hand-cut, giving each tier consistent faceting and uniform light dispersion. The polished chrome frame reflects light back through the crystal layers, amplifying brightness and creating additional sparkle when the bulbs are on. At 15.1kg, the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings into joists or concrete, not just into plasterboard alone. The chrome finish pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes, from grey-toned contemporary kitchens to warmer dining rooms with wood furniture.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Selia take?
The fitting has six E14 (small Edison screw) sockets, each rated for bulbs up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for dining ambience, or daylight-temperature LEDs around 4000K for kitchen task lighting.
What table length does it suit?
The 87cm length works best above dining tables of 160-200cm or kitchen islands of similar dimensions. For shorter tables the light may overhang noticeably; for longer tables (220cm+) a second fixture or a longer model may be needed for balanced coverage.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off the mains supply and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal tier with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but dry immediately to avoid water spots. Do not use household glass cleaners, as residue can dull the laser-cut facets over time.
What ceiling fixing is required?
At 15.1kg, the Selia requires secure fixings into ceiling joists or concrete. Plasterboard fixings alone will not support this weight safely. If your ceiling is plasterboard over timber joists, locate the joists and fix into them. If the ceiling is concrete, use appropriate anchors rated for at least 20kg.
