Description
The Regara is a 9-light lantern pendant with a hexagonal polished brass frame, clear glass panels on all six sides, and a curved brass dome top with scrolled finials. The lantern measures 56cm wide and 124cm tall, enclosing nine SES (E14) bulb fittings arranged in tiers inside the glass chamber. The brass frame holds the glass in place and gives the structure its vertical proportion.
Designed for entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Regara provides ambient light distributed evenly through the glass panels. The 124cm drop from ceiling to base means the lantern works best in double-height spaces or above a staircase where its full height can be appreciated. The polished brass finish reflects surrounding light and pairs with both traditional and classical interiors featuring cornicing, panelling or moulded ceilings.
The hexagonal glass chamber allows light to escape in all directions once the nine bulbs are fitted, turning the lantern into a centrepiece rather than a directional fitting. At 29kg the pendant requires secure ceiling fixing suitable for its weight — a standard ceiling rose is not sufficient and a structural fixing point or joist mounting is needed. The polished brass develops a patina over time if left unprotected, or can be maintained with brass cleaner to retain its mirror finish.
The curved arms connecting the dome to the main body echo 18th-century coach lantern design, with scrolled finials at each lower corner adding detail without obstructing the glass. The chain and canopy match the polished brass finish of the frame. Bulbs are sold separately.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Regara take?
The lantern takes nine SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with candle-style LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a warm traditional appearance.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 124cm drop from ceiling to base means the Regara is designed for rooms with ceiling heights of at least 3m, typically entrance halls, stairwells or double-height dining rooms. In a typical 2.4m room the lantern would hang too low.
Can it be fitted to a standard ceiling rose?
No. At 29kg the Regara requires a structural fixing point, either directly into a ceiling joist or via a reinforced mounting plate. A standard plastic ceiling rose is not rated for this weight and would be unsafe.
Does the brass tarnish over time?
Polished brass develops a natural patina when exposed to air and handling. This can be retained for an aged look, or the brass can be cleaned periodically with a brass polish to maintain the mirror finish shown in the product image.
