Description
The PowerMaster 6ft twin T8 LED batten fitting is a sealed industrial lighting fitting designed for LED tube installation in IP65-rated environments. The fitting houses two T8 LED tubes (sold separately) behind a polycarbonate diffuser, with an ABS base, polycarbonate clips, and gasketed seals that protect against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The single-end connection wiring simplifies installation on ceiling or wall mounts in workshops, warehouses, car parks and outdoor canopies.
Designed for retrofit LED tube compatibility, the fitting accepts two standard 6ft (1800mm) T8 LED tubes with single-end wiring topology — the type where live, neutral and earth all connect at one end of the tube. This differs from older double-ended fluorescent tube wiring and requires compatible LED tubes. The fitting operates at 220-240V mains and is not dimmable. The IP65 rating makes it suitable for use in bathroom zones 1-3, outdoor covered areas, and industrial spaces where dust and moisture are present.
The polycarbonate diffuser resists impact better than acrylic and maintains clarity under UV exposure, making it suitable for outdoor covered positions and unheated buildings. The ABS base is lighter than steel equivalents but provides sufficient rigidity for ceiling mounting without sagging across the 1800mm length. At 3.35kg, the fitting is manageable for single-person installation on standard ceiling joists or metal framework. The white finish blends into industrial ceiling environments without drawing visual attention away from the workspace below.

Frequently Asked
What LED tubes does it take?
The fitting takes two 6ft (1800mm) T8 LED tubes with single-end wiring connection. LED tubes are sold separately. Standard fluorescent T8 tubes will not work without bypassing the ballast, which this fitting does not include.
Can it be used outdoors?
The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor covered positions such as canopies, carports and loading bays where the fitting is sheltered from direct rain and UV exposure. It is not designed for fully exposed outdoor mounting.
What does single-end connection mean?
Single-end connection means the mains wiring (live, neutral, earth) connects at one end of each LED tube, rather than live at one end and neutral at the other as in older fluorescent fittings. This simplifies wiring but requires LED tubes specifically designed for single-end topology.
What zones is it suitable for?
The IP65 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3, but not zone 0 (inside the bath or shower enclosure itself). It can also be used in commercial kitchens, covered outdoor areas, and unheated industrial spaces.
