Description
The PowerMaster 6ft twin batten fitting accommodates two LED T8 tubes (sold separately) in a white steel housing measuring 1801mm long, 102mm wide and 67mm deep. The fitting includes dual T8 lampholders wired for single-end connection, allowing LED tubes to bypass legacy ballasts and run directly from 220-240V mains. The housing is rated IP20, making it suitable for dry indoor environments only.
Designed for commercial offices, workshops, retail back-of-house areas, storage rooms and garage installations where high-output white light is needed across a 6ft run. The twin-tube configuration provides approximately double the light output of a single-batten fitting, making it useful for task lighting over workbenches, storage aisles and inspection areas. The fitting can be ceiling or wall mounted using the two keyhole brackets moulded into the back of the housing.
The white powder-coated steel construction weighs 0.71kg fully assembled, allowing it to be fixed to standard ceiling joists or plasterboard with appropriate fixings. The open-ended design means the fitting accepts any 6ft (1800mm) LED T8 tube, giving flexibility to choose the lumen output and colour temperature that suits the space. The single-end connection means each tube has live and neutral pins at one end only, with dummy pins at the other—this must be matched to the tube type purchased.

Frequently Asked
Does it come with LED tubes?
No. The fitting is sold as a bare batten and accepts any standard 6ft (1800mm) LED T8 tube with single-end connection. Tubes must be purchased separately.
What's the difference between single-end and double-end LED tubes?
Single-end tubes have live and neutral pins at one end only, with dummy pins at the other. Double-end tubes are wired at both ends. This fitting is wired for single-end tubes—using the wrong tube type will cause malfunction or failure to light.
Can it be used in a bathroom or garage?
The IP20 rating means it is not protected against moisture ingress, so it cannot be used in bathrooms or shower rooms. It can be used in a domestic garage provided the garage is dry and the fitting is not exposed to splashing or condensation. For damp or outdoor locations, an IP65-rated batten is required.
How is it fixed to the ceiling?
The fitting has two keyhole brackets moulded into the back of the housing. On a solid ceiling, fix two screws 1750mm apart, then slide the batten onto the screw heads. On plasterboard, use cavity fixings rated for at least 1kg per fixing point.
