Description

The PowerMaster 4ft LED batten fitting accepts standard T8 LED tubes via a single-end connection lampholder housed in a white steel base measuring 1237mm long, 62mm wide and 38mm deep. The fitting operates on 220-240V mains and is rated IP20 for dry indoor environments including offices, retail spaces, workshops and residential garages.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in commercial and residential settings, the batten suits functional spaces needing uniform overhead light across workbenches, storage areas, corridors and back-of-house zones. The single-end connection simplifies tube replacement by eliminating the need to connect both ends of the tube during fitting. The white finish matches standard ceiling colours and keeps the fitting visually neutral in mixed-use interiors.

The steel construction provides rigidity for surface mounting on plasterboard, masonry or timber joists without sagging across the 1237mm span. At 460g the fitting is light enough for single-person installation while the 38mm depth allows it to sit close to the ceiling in low-headroom spaces. The IP20 rating restricts use to Zone 3 in bathroom applications, keeping the fitting clear of direct water contact.

Does it come with an LED tube?

No. The fitting accepts standard 4ft T8 LED tubes which are sold separately. Any single-ended T8 LED tube rated for 220-240V operation will work with this batten.

What does single-end connection mean?

Single-end connection means the tube connects electrically at one end only, simplifying installation and tube replacement compared to double-ended fittings where both ends must be wired.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

Only in Zone 3, which is more than 2.25m from the edge of a bath or shower enclosure, or outside the bathroom entirely. The IP20 rating does not protect against direct water contact.

Is it dimmable?

No. The fitting provides on/off switching only. Dimming would depend on the specific LED tube used, but the batten itself has no dimming capability.
