Description

The Petala is a 2-light crystal wall light with twin curved nickel arms extending from a circular backplate, each supporting a fluted glass shade and a hanging crystal droplet. A strand of faceted octagonal crystals drapes between the two arms, connecting the composition with a central decorative element. Each arm takes a single G9 bulb (sold separately) behind the fluted glass.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room accent walls where ambient light with decorative detail is needed, the Petala works particularly well in pairs flanking a mirror, fireplace or doorway. The 180mm projection from the wall suits rooms with circulation space in front of the fitting, while the 320mm width allows two fittings to be spaced 1.2-1.5m apart without visual crowding. The nickel finish reads as a cool silver tone under both natural and warm artificial light.

The fluted glass shades diffuse the G9 bulb output into soft ambient light rather than direct task illumination, so the fitting functions as decorative accent lighting rather than primary room lighting. The hand-cut Strass lead crystal droplets introduce movement when air circulates and catch reflections from adjacent light sources. The combined weight of the glass, crystal and metal frame is 1.5kg, requiring secure fixing to a solid wall or into a stud for plasterboard installations.

What bulbs does the Petala take?

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs in the 2.5-4W range and 2700K-3000K colour temperature for soft ambient light.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Petala carries no IP rating and is not certified for bathroom zones. It can be used in bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and dining rooms but should be kept away from direct moisture or steam exposure.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming depends on the G9 bulbs fitted. If you use dimmable LED G9 capsules and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the fitting can be dimmed. Non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim regardless of the switch.

How is the crystal strand attached?

The draped crystal strand connects between the two arms via small fixing loops on each arm. The strand is pre-assembled and hangs naturally once the wall light is mounted, requiring no additional adjustment during installation.
