Description
The Peak is a 70mm-tall cylindrical outdoor wall light with integrated 6W LED modules firing light both upward and downward from a matt black die-cast aluminium body. The dual beam creates two distinct light zones on the wall surface, one above the fitting and one below, useful for marking doorways, gate posts, or building corners without flooding the entire wall with light.
Designed for residential and commercial outdoor installation, the Peak suits entrance porches, garden walls, garage sides, and pathway edges where directional accent lighting is needed rather than broad wash light. The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions under overhangs, in recessed doorways, or on covered terraces. The 110mm projection from the wall keeps the light beam clear of the mounting surface.
The die-cast aluminium body is powder-coated in a fine-textured matt black finish that resists UV fade and corrosion from coastal or urban air. The 4000K colour temperature gives a neutral white light that reads as cooler and more contemporary than warm white, and sits between the yellow warmth of traditional outdoor lights and the stark blue-white of older LED fittings. The two internal LED modules are rated for long-term outdoor use and are not user-replaceable, but carry a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux Italy.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in fully exposed positions without a porch or overhang?
The IP44 rating protects against rain from above and splashing from any angle, so the Peak can be mounted on open walls, gate posts, and garden walls without needing shelter. However, IP44 does not protect against direct jets of water or submersion, so avoid positions where a hose or pressure washer would hit the fitting directly.
What colour is the light output?
The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light, cooler than the warm yellow of 2700K-3000K indoor lighting but not as stark as the 5000K-6500K sometimes used in commercial security lighting. It pairs well with contemporary architecture and modern outdoor materials like brushed stainless steel, zinc cladding, and grey composite decking.
Is the LED replaceable if it fails?
No. The LED modules are integrated into the fitting and are not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux, covering LED failure during that period.
How much light does 6W produce?
A 6W LED typically outputs 400-600 lumens depending on the design, split between the two beams in this case. This is enough for accent lighting, marking edges, and creating visual interest, but not enough to serve as a primary security floodlight for a large driveway or garden.
