Description

The Opus is a 90mm square outdoor wall light in anthracite die-cast aluminium with a transparent Pyrex glass diffuser at the base. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) inside the housing creates both upward and downward light distribution, with the glass diffuser directing light down while the open top projects light up the wall surface.

Designed for exterior walls, porches, and covered outdoor areas with IP44 protection against water splashes and solid objects over 1mm. The 100mm projection from the wall gives the fitting presence without dominating narrow walkways or tight entrance areas. The compact 90mm height and width suit installation beside doorways, on gate posts, or spaced at intervals along a garden wall.

The die-cast aluminium body carries an anthracite powder-coat finish that resists UV fade and corrosion in coastal and damp environments. The Pyrex glass diffuser is heat-resistant and secured with visible stainless steel fixings at each corner. The fitting pairs a G9 halogen or LED capsule bulb, giving flexibility to choose between 2700K warm white or 3000K neutral white depending on whether the installation is residential or commercial.

What does IP44 mean for outdoor use?

IP44 protection means the fitting is resistant to water splashes from any direction and solid objects over 1mm. This makes it suitable for covered porches, overhangs, and walls under eaves, but not for fully exposed positions where rain directly hits the fitting.

What bulb does it take?

The Opus takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to the maximum wattage specified for the fitting. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a G9 LED between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for exterior accent lighting.

Is the light dimmable?

Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Check the bulb packaging to confirm dimmer compatibility before installation.

How is it mounted?

The Opus mounts directly to a flat exterior wall surface via fixings through the rear plate. The 100mm projection from the wall includes the mounting plate and the main body housing the bulb and glass diffuser.
