Description
The Norwell is a 6-light iron chandelier built around a central matt black column from which six curved arms extend, each terminating in a shallow cup holding an SES candle bulb. The 55cm diameter and 53cm body height give the fitting a presence suited to dining tables 1.6-2.2m long or entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. The chain suspension allows the drop to be adjusted on installation.
Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls in traditional, farmhouse and heritage-modern interiors, the Norwell provides six points of directed upward light that cast ambient glow onto ceilings while leaving the space below the fitting relatively open. The curved arms loop outward and downward before rising to meet the candle cups, creating a rhythm of negative space within the frame. When positioned over a dining table, the fitting typically sits 700-850mm above the table surface depending on ceiling height.
The matt black powder-coated finish on the wrought iron softens reflections and pairs with both warm-toned timbers and cooler greys in contemporary country and industrial-meets-traditional schemes. Each arm is welded to the central column rather than bolted, giving the frame structural rigidity without visible fixings. At 3kg the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for the load, and the chain conceals the cable run from canopy to fitting.
The six SES bulbs are sold separately, allowing flexibility to choose warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for a softer glow or cooler temperatures for task-lit dining. The maximum 60W per bulb rating accommodates both traditional filament candle bulbs and modern LED equivalents.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Norwell take?
The chandelier takes six SES (E14 small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for a softer ambient glow in dining rooms.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 53cm body height plus chain suspension means the fitting works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. Over a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-850mm above the table surface, which requires approximately 2.4m minimum ceiling height once the fitting body and clearance are accounted for.
Can the chain length be adjusted?
Yes. The chain suspension is adjustable on installation, allowing the drop to be shortened or lengthened to suit the room height and the position of the table or floor below.
What table length does it suit?
The 55cm diameter suits rectangular dining tables between 1.6m and 2.2m long. For tables shorter than 1.6m the chandelier may visually dominate; for tables longer than 2.2m a second fixture or a larger-diameter chandelier may be more proportionate.
