Description
The Moore is a single-light wall sconce built around a vertical heritage brass arm mounted to a bevelled rectangular backplate, topped with an off-white linen shade. The E14 bulb fitting sits inside the shade, directing light both up and down through the fabric to create diffused ambient light along the wall and ceiling. The heritage brass finish shows a warm, slightly antiqued tone that sits between polished brass and aged brass.
Designed for hallways, bedside positions, powder rooms and either side of bathroom mirrors, the Moore works as task lighting for grooming or reading, and as accent lighting in entrance halls and landings. The 140mm projection from the wall keeps the shade clear of the surface, while the 456mm height gives enough vertical presence to balance alongside a mirror or headboard without dominating the wall. The compact 114mm width allows pairs to be mounted 600-800mm apart without visual crowding.
The linen shade is bound at top and bottom with narrow trim that gives the cylinder a defined edge and prevents the fabric from appearing loose or unfinished. The combination of the structured brass geometry and the softer fabric texture creates contrast without pattern or ornamentation. The shade diffuses light evenly, preventing harsh shadows and reducing glare from the bulb, making the Moore suitable for close-range tasks like reading in bed or applying makeup at a dressing table.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Moore take?
The fitting takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulb up to 40W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED in 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light suitable for bedrooms and hallways.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The Moore carries no IP rating and is not certified for bathroom zones 1 or 2 where direct water contact is possible. It can be used in bathrooms outside the designated zones, typically 600mm or more from the edge of a bath or shower enclosure.
How is the linen shade cleaned?
The linen shade can be dusted with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using spray cleaners which may stain or discolour the linen.
What spacing is recommended for pairs?
When mounting pairs either side of a mirror or bed, a centre-to-centre spacing of 600-800mm works for most applications. The 114mm width allows closer spacing without the fittings appearing cramped, but final placement depends on the width of the mirror or headboard being flanked.
