Description
The Monvia is a 2-light wall fitting with two horizontal nickel arms projecting from a rectangular backplate, each ending in a sharply tapered optical glass shade. The glass shades narrow to a fine point, creating a geometric counterpoint to the horizontal metal arms. Each arm houses a single G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately) rated up to 33W per light.
Designed for hallways, landings, and either side of vanity mirrors, the Monvia projects 21cm from the wall and spans 32cm horizontally. The symmetrical arm configuration suits pairs of wall lights flanking a doorway or mirror, or solo installation where a horizontal accent is needed. The tapered glass diffuses light in multiple directions while maintaining directional emphasis along the arms. The fitting mounts to standard UK wall back boxes and includes all necessary fixings.
The optical glass is precision-cut with faceted edges that catch and refract light when the bulbs are on, adding visual interest beyond the basic form. The nickel finish is a cool silver tone without high polish, giving a satin appearance that works in monochromatic schemes, alongside natural stone finishes, and with lacquered or gloss cabinetry. At 2kg total weight, the fitting needs secure wall fixings into solid masonry or appropriate cavity fixings for plasterboard.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Monvia take?
The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs rated 3-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for general ambient light, or cool white (4000K) for vanity/bathroom use.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Monvia carries no IP rating in the specification, so it is not certified for bathroom zones 1 or 2 (areas around baths and showers). It can be used in bathroom zone 3 (areas more than 600mm from a water source) or in dressing rooms and powder rooms where no direct water contact occurs.
How is the optical glass cleaned?
The tapered glass shades can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth and glass cleaner. The faceted edges trap dust, so regular light cleaning prevents buildup. Remove dust first with a dry cloth before applying any liquid cleaner to avoid streaking.
What wall construction is needed?
At 2kg, the Monvia requires secure wall fixings. On solid masonry or brick, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient. On plasterboard, use metal cavity fixings rated for at least 5kg per fixing point to ensure the weight is safely supported.
