Description

The Luz is a white outdoor wall light with two GU10 fittings housed in a cylindrical resin body and a satin acrylic diffuser at the base. The IP55 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed exterior walls, covered terraces and building facades. Each GU10 socket accepts LED or halogen bulbs up to the fitting's rated maximum (bulbs sold separately).

Designed for mounting on rendered walls, brick, timber cladding or stone facades, the Luz projects 165mm from the wall surface and stands 90mm tall, giving a compact footprint that suits porch entrances, stairwell landings, garage side walls and garden paths without overwhelming the mounting surface. The dual-bulb configuration casts light both downward and upward, creating a wash effect on the wall behind and illuminating the area immediately below the fitting.

The resin body is engineered to withstand temperature extremes from -60°C to +90°C, which covers the full range of UK seasonal conditions plus hotter climates for international installations. The white finish is through-coloured rather than surface-painted, so minor surface marks from garden maintenance or weather exposure do not reveal a different colour beneath. The satin acrylic diffuser softens the light output from the bulbs, reducing glare while maintaining useful task illumination for steps, doorways and path edges.

Ideal Lux manufactures the Luz range in Italy. The fitting comes with a 5-year warranty and dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 bulbs chosen — LED GU10 bulbs marked as dimmable will function with standard trailing-edge dimmers when paired with this fitting.
