Lumen 2 Light Wall Light - Gold & Matt Black

The Lumen is a 2 light wall light built around two clear glass spheres arranged vertically on matt black arms, anchored to a circular brushed gold wall plate. Each sphere houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) that sits inside the glass globe, diffusing light outward and across both upward and downward planes. The matt black arms extend from the wall plate at offset angles, with brushed gold ferrules at each joint adding tonal contrast.

Designed for bedside positions, flanking bathroom mirrors, or hallway accent lighting, the Lumen provides ambient rather than directional light. The 37cm height and 27cm projection suit bedside wall mounting where the upper globe sits near eye level when lying down, while the lower globe casts downward onto a bedside table surface. In bathrooms, pairs of Lumen fittings either side of a mirror introduce symmetrical accent lighting without taking up shelf space.

The dual finish of brushed gold and matt black pairs warm metallic highlights with graphic definition, allowing the fitting to work in both warm-toned interiors with brass hardware and cooler schemes where black detailing is the primary accent. The circular wall plate at 12cm diameter provides a clean mounting surface that hides the back box and cable entry. What bulbs does it take?

The Lumen takes two G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair it with 3-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K). Because the glass spheres are clear and the bulb sits inside, decorative LED filament G9 bulbs work well if the fitting is mounted at eye level.

What spacing is needed for bedside pairs?

When mounting two Lumen fittings either side of a bed, allow at least 120-150cm between the wall plates to provide adequate clearance for bedside tables and to avoid the fittings appearing too close together visually. A standard UK double bed is 135cm wide, so fittings centred 60-70cm from the bed centre work well.

Can it be mounted on plasterboard?

Yes. At 0.65kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard using standard cavity fixings (spring toggles or metal cavity anchors). Ensure the back box is securely fixed to the wall before mounting the fitting.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs you choose. Most LED G9 bulbs are labelled as dimmable or non-dimmable on the packaging. Pair dimmable bulbs with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer for smooth dimming performance.
