What wall type is required for installation?

The 1.4kg weight requires secure fixings into masonry or a wooden stud. Standard plasterboard fixings alone will not support the fitting safely. For hollow walls, use a wall plate or mounting block fixed to studs behind the plasterboard.

Does the polished brass tarnish?

Polished brass develops a natural patina over time when exposed to air and humidity. This can be slowed by occasional wiping with a soft dry cloth. If a darker patina develops and you prefer the original shine, use a brass polish and buff with a clean cloth.

What ceiling height suits this fitting?

The 49cm vertical dimension works well in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, where the tall profile complements the proportions of the space. In lower-ceilinged rooms under 2.4m, the vertical emphasis may feel disproportionate.
