Description

The Liora is a 3 light crystal wall light built around two tiers of faceted rectangular crystal prisms mounted on a polished chrome backplate. The upper tier forms a cylindrical band of larger vertical crystals, while the lower tier sits recessed with shorter crystals, creating a stepped profile 24cm high by 28.5cm wide. Three G9 bulb holders sit behind the crystals, casting light through the faceted glass and reflecting off the chrome frame.

Designed for accent and decorative lighting rather than primary illumination, the Liora suits hallways, bedroom walls beside a headboard, dressing rooms, and powder rooms where wall space is limited but reflective visual interest is wanted. The 24cm height and 28.5cm diameter give the fitting a compact footprint that works in tighter spaces without overwhelming the wall. The stepped tiers add depth and catch light from different angles as you move past the fitting.

The chrome backplate is polished to a mirror finish, reflecting both the crystal refraction and ambient room light. Each crystal prism is individually cut with facets that scatter light into rainbow flashes when the bulbs are on, and maintain visual texture when off. The 2.6kg combined weight of chrome and crystal gives the fitting substance without requiring reinforced wall mounting beyond standard fixings. The fitting accepts any standard G9 capsule bulb up to 28W per socket, allowing choice between halogen or LED depending on heat and brightness preference.

What bulbs does the Liora take?

The fitting takes three G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum wattage of 28W per socket. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white G9 LED capsules between 2.5-4W and 2700K-3000K for lower heat output and longer bulb life compared to halogen.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb type chosen. G9 LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Standard G9 halogen bulbs dim on most traditional dimmers without issue.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal prism with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome backplate or getting moisture into the bulb holders.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

The Liora carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It should not be installed in bathroom zones where moisture or water spray is present.
