Description

The Heathwood is a 2 light iron wall light built around a central grey-finished backplate with two upright candle-style holders set on a horizontal bowed arm. Each holder takes an SES (E14) bulb up to 60W (sold separately), and the holders terminate in vertical finials that mirror the geometry of the backplate behind them.

Designed for hallways, fireplace surrounds and landing walls, the Heathwood provides symmetrical ambient light in spaces where a single bulb would leave dark patches. The 27cm horizontal spread positions the two light sources 13-14cm apart, wide enough to cast overlapping pools of light across a 2-3m wall section. The 13cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of doorframes and furniture without creating a trip hazard in narrow hallways.

The grey finish sits between gunmetal and pewter — darker than brushed nickel but lighter than charcoal. It works over both light-painted walls (where it provides contrast) and dark panelling (where it sits as a tonal layer rather than a stark accent). The iron construction gives the fitting a solid 1.25kg weight, and the bowed horizontal arm adds a small curve to what is otherwise a rigorously geometric design.

The Heathwood takes two SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit candle-style LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a warm traditional look.

What wall fixing is required?

The backplate mounts to a standard UK wall box or directly to masonry with wall plugs and screws. The 1.25kg weight is manageable on most plasterboard with appropriate fixings, but brick, block or timber stud walls provide the most secure mounting.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 13cm from the wall surface to the front of the candle holders. This keeps the light clear of doorframes and furniture in hallways without creating a trip hazard in narrow passages.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Heathwood carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations.
