Description
The Halston is a single-light wall fitting with a white opal glass cone shade set on a brushed gold arm extending from a circular backplate. The shade measures 203mm across at its widest point and tapers upward, housing an E14 bulb (sold separately, max 40W). The opal glass diffuses the bulb's light into soft ambient illumination rather than direct task lighting.
Designed for bedside installation, hallway zones and living room accent positions, the Halston works as a single fitting beside a headboard or in pairs flanking mirrors and feature walls. The 218mm projection from the wall leaves enough clearance to avoid clashing with door frames or furniture, while the 222mm height makes it suitable for walls with dado rails or picture rails. The upward tilt of the shade sends most of the light towards the ceiling, creating reflected ambient light rather than direct downward beam.
The brushed gold finish on the metal arm and backplate shows a linear grain pattern visible in the image, giving a warmer metallic tone than polished brass and softer reflections than chrome. The opal glass shade contrasts cleanly with the brushed gold, providing a mid-century modern aesthetic that pairs with both warm-toned traditional interiors and contemporary schemes using brass accents. The slender arm and tapered cone avoid visual weight on the wall, making the fitting suitable for smaller bedrooms and narrow hallways.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Halston takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for bedside or hallway ambient lighting.
Can it be mounted either side up?
The fitting is designed to mount with the cone shade angled upward as shown in the image. The tilt sends most light towards the ceiling for reflected ambient illumination rather than direct downward light.
What wall spacing is needed for pairs?
When installing as a pair flanking a mirror or headboard, allow at least 800mm-1200mm between centres depending on the width of the feature being flanked. The 218mm projection means each fitting extends roughly that distance from the wall when installed.
Is the shade glass or plastic?
The cone shade is white opal glass, not plastic. The glass is thick enough to diffuse the bulb's light without showing the bulb outline when lit.
