Description

The Glenten is a 2-light traditional wall light built from solid brass with a polished finish, featuring twin curved arms extending from a hexagonal backplate with a central urn-style finial. Each arm carries a BC (bayonet cap) candle fitting set on a shallow brass drip tray, styled to resemble wall-mounted candelabras from the Georgian and Regency periods.

Designed for formal dining rooms, entrance halls, staircase landings and drawing rooms with traditional or classical interiors, the Glenten provides accent lighting at approximately 1.5-1.8m above floor level where it can be paired with overhead pendants or chandeliers. The 19cm projection from the wall gives clearance for lampshades or exposed candle bulbs without the arms extending too far into circulation space. The polished brass finish reflects surrounding light, which helps balance darker wood panelling or deep-toned wallpapers.

The solid brass construction gives the fitting a 1.05kg weight, substantial enough to feel anchored when mounted on plaster or masonry walls. The hexagonal backplate measures 37.5cm across at its widest point and 36.5cm in height, sized to hold presence on high walls without dominating smaller alcoves or narrower passages. The Glenten uses BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs, up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with BC candle-style LED bulbs in warm white (2700K) to suit the traditional styling.

The fitting projects 19cm from the wall surface once mounted. This gives sufficient clearance for candle bulbs or small shades without the arms extending into circulation space in narrower hallways or landings.
