Description
The Gessan is a single-light wall fixture built around a diamond-shaped frame of polished chrome rods radiating from a central SES candle fitting. The frame measures 28cm across at its widest point and 30cm vertically, with chrome rods arranged in a geometric lattice that creates depth and reflects light at multiple angles. The central bulb sits within a tubular chrome sleeve, surrounded by the open framework.
Designed for hallways, bedroom walls, and either side of mirrors or doorways, the Gessan provides accent lighting rather than functional room illumination. The 19cm projection from the wall gives the fitting a sculptural presence without encroaching too far into narrow passages. Pairs well with mid-century, art deco and contemporary interiors where geometric detailing and reflective finishes are already present.
The polished chrome finish is high-shine, creating strong reflections under both natural daylight and artificial light. This makes the fitting visually larger than its physical footprint and allows it to amplify other light sources in the room. The diamond geometry echoes the larger Gessan chandelier range, allowing the wall light to be paired with ceiling fixtures from the same collection for a coordinated look across a space.
The open lattice structure keeps the visual weight low despite the chrome finish, so the fitting reads as decorative rather than heavy. Installation requires a standard UK back plate and the fitting accepts any SES (small Edison screw) bulb up to 60W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W to provide gentle accent light without glare.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Gessan takes a single SES (small Edison screw, E14) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit a 4-6W LED candle bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for accent lighting.
How far does it stick out from the wall?
The projection is 19cm from the wall to the front edge of the diamond frame. This is suitable for most hallways and bedroom walls, but check clearance if installing next to a door swing or in narrow passages.
Can it be installed in a bathroom?
The Gessan carries no IP rating in the specification, so it is designed for dry internal use only. It should not be installed in bathroom zones where moisture or splashing may occur.
Is it suitable for dimming?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb fitted. If you use a dimmable LED bulb rated for the dimmer switch model, the fitting can be dimmed. The chrome frame itself has no electronic components that would limit dimming.
