Forma V1 2 Light Optical Glass Wall Light - Polished Nickel

The Forma V1 is a 2-light wall fitting with two angular arms extending from a rectangular polished nickel backplate, each supporting a cylindrical optical glass shade containing a single G9 bulb fitting. The glass shades feature vertical ridges on the outer surface and smooth internal faces, creating controlled light dispersion without diffusing the beam entirely.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls flanking a headboard, and either side of bathroom mirrors, the Forma V1 delivers directed ambient light in spaces where a ceiling pendant would sit too low or where focused wall-mounted light is needed. The 24cm width and 14cm projection suit narrower walls without intruding into the space, while the 17cm height keeps both shades within the typical sightline for a standing or seated viewer. The polished nickel finish reflects ambient light during the day and pairs with chrome taps, door handles and other metallic fixtures in contemporary and transitional interiors.

Each G9 fitting takes a capsule bulb up to 33W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or specific colour temperature depending on room use. The optical glass is heavier and clearer than standard pressed glass, giving sharper internal reflections and a more defined shadow pattern on the wall when lit. The angular geometry of the arms and backplate creates clean lines that work in both neutral-toned and high-contrast interiors.

What bulb does it take?

The Forma V1 takes two G9 capsule bulbs, one per shade, with a maximum wattage of 33W per bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this fitting with 3-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

The Forma V1 carries no IP rating and is designed for general indoor use in dry areas. It can be used beside a bathroom mirror in zone 3 (outside the immediate splash zones) but should not be installed directly above a bath or shower.

How is the wall light fitted?

The rectangular backplate fixes to a standard UK wall box or back plate using screws (concealed behind the backplate once fitted). The electrical connection terminates inside the backplate. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.

Does the glass come off for cleaning?

Yes. Each optical glass shade can be removed from its arm for cleaning and bulb replacement. Wipe the glass with a dry microfibre cloth or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water if needed. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners on the optical glass.
