Description

The Floren is a 14cm diameter wall light combining a cylindrical smoked glass shade with cascading crystal beads suspended inside, mounted on a circular chrome backing plate. An integrated 6W LED sits behind the crystal curtain, casting light through the beads and the glass to create layered shadow patterns on the wall and surrounding surfaces.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls flanking a headboard, and dining room feature walls, the Floren works as a solo accent or in pairs on either side of a mirror or artwork. The 18cm height projects approximately 10cm from the wall once mounted, sitting clear of most architraves and picture rails. The chrome finish pairs cleanly with polished taps, door furniture and mirror frames in contemporary bathrooms and bedrooms.

The smoked glass cylinder diffuses the LED output while the crystal beads refract individual points of light, giving the fitting both ambient and decorative function. The combined weight of glass, metal and crystal brings the fitting to 1.2kg, which requires fixing to a solid wall surface or into a wall plug rather than plasterboard alone. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement over the typical lifespan of the fitting.

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED lifespan typically exceeds 20,000 hours under normal domestic use, which equates to approximately 10-15 years at 4 hours per day.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard walls?

The 1.2kg weight requires fixing to a solid wall surface or into appropriate wall plugs rated for the load. Plasterboard-only fixing without plugs or backing is not recommended.

How is the glass shade cleaned?
