Description
The Flessen is a 5-light traditional chandelier built from solid brass with a pewter finish, measuring 58cm in diameter and 43cm in height. Five symmetrical curved arms extend from a central turned column with a spherical pendant weight at the base, each arm terminating in a candle-style SES bulb holder. The pewter finish provides a muted grey-toned metallic surface with soft reflectivity, sitting between the warmth of brass and the coolness of chrome.
Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Flessen suits rooms where a traditional aesthetic is required without the brighter metallics of polished brass or chrome. The 58cm spread works over dining tables up to 1.6m in length, or as a focal point in a living room of 4-5m square. The central column and spherical weight give the fitting visual balance and 3kg of physical presence, suitable for period properties, Georgian-inspired interiors, or contemporary spaces seeking heritage detailing.
The solid brass construction means the fitting can be refinished if the pewter tone no longer suits the interior. The five arms are arranged at equal spacing around the central axis, giving consistent light distribution when fitted with five SES candle bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately). Chain suspension allows the drop to be adjusted on installation, and the fitting connects to a standard UK ceiling rose.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Flessen take?
The chandelier uses five SES (Small Edison Screw, E14 base) candle bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle bulbs between 4-6W in 2700K warm white for a traditional ambient effect.
What dining table size does it suit?
The 58cm diameter works best over dining tables between 1.2m and 1.6m in length. For tables longer than 1.6m, consider two smaller pendants or a larger chandelier from the same range.
Is the pewter finish polished or matt?
The pewter finish has a soft, low-sheen surface with subtle reflectivity. It sits between matt and polished, providing tonal depth without the high shine of polished chrome or the flatness of powder-coated matt grey.
Can the drop height be adjusted?
Yes. The chandelier is supplied with chain suspension that can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height. For dining room use, the typical clearance is 700-900mm between the table surface and the base of the chandelier.
