Description

The Flame is a white metal outdoor wall light with two GU10 fittings positioned to cast light upwards and downwards from a ribbed cylindrical body. The dual-beam configuration washes light across the wall surface above and below the fitting, providing both functional illumination for doorways and pathways and decorative accent lighting that highlights exterior wall textures.

Designed for sheltered outdoor positions such as covered porches, under eaves, or on walls adjacent to carports, the Flame carries an IP44 rating that protects against splashing water from any direction. The 180mm projection from the wall and the vertical cylinder design suit modern rendered facades, brick exteriors and timber-clad buildings where a clean geometric profile is preferred over traditional lantern-style fittings.

The ribbed detailing on the white powder-coated metal cylinder reduces glare when viewed from the side and adds visual texture under daylight. Each fitting accepts a GU10 bulb up to 50W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED or halogen light sources depending on desired brightness and colour temperature. The compact 65mm width keeps the fitting close to the wall plane, reducing the risk of accidental impact in narrow side passages or near gates.

The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor positions such as under eaves, covered porches, or walls protected by overhangs. It is not rated for fully exposed positions subject to driving rain or direct hose spray.

Is the light dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable GU10 bulbs and pair the circuit with a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and bulb combination.

How is the up/down light distribution controlled?

The light distribution is fixed by the design — one GU10 fitting directs light upwards, the other downwards. The ribbed cylinder body acts as both housing and diffuser, softening the light wash across the wall surface.
