Description

The Facet is a single-light wall fitting built from angled lead crystal panels arranged over a compact polished chrome base, creating a geometric crystal surface 19cm wide and 27cm high. The fitting takes one SES (E14) bulb up to 60W and projects 9cm from the wall, making it suitable for hallway widths where deeper wall lights would intrude on circulation space.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms, flanking bathroom mirrors or in pairs beside a fireplace, the Facet delivers decorative rather than ambient light. When the bulb is on, light refracts through the faceted crystal panels and throws prismatic reflections onto adjacent walls. The polished chrome base gives a high-gloss finish that pairs with modern chrome taps, handles and door furniture in bathrooms and kitchens.

The lead crystal panels are individually cut and hand-assembled onto the chrome mounting plate, so the exact arrangement of facets can vary slightly between individual fittings. The combined crystal and chrome construction gives the wall light a 1kg weight, requiring a secure fixing into brick, block or a stud behind plasterboard. The chrome finish is lacquered to resist tarnishing in typical indoor humidity levels.

What bulb does it take?

The Facet takes a single SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to suit the decorative application.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Facet carries no IP rating, so it is not certified for use in bathroom zones 1 or 2 where direct spray or high moisture levels are present. It can be used in larger bathrooms outside the designated zones, typically 600mm or further from a bath or shower enclosure.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool. Wipe the crystal panels gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome base or using chemical sprays that can cloud the crystal or tarnish the chrome lacquer.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. If you fit a dimmable LED SES bulb and pair it with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer, the Facet can be dimmed. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not work with a dimmer switch.
